Anacapa's Pet of the Month
March 2009 - Kai
Kai is a 3 year old golden retriever with a heart of pure gold! She grew up so quickly from the fluffy ball of fur she once was. Kai, or "Miss Fluffy Butt" as she is known around Ventura, loves spending time chasing after her Red Kong Ball and playing with her best friend, a St. Bernard named Chloe. Kai's mom loves the Kong Ball because it is virtually indestructible - even though it's tossed around the mouth of an 80 lb golden retriever and a 100+ St. Bernard.
Kai will do just about anything for a treat and she loves Carob Dog Cookies. When she is not snacking on a treat or out romping around with friends, her favorite hang out spot is on the couch, at home, between her humans (when she lets them on the couch!).
Kai's favorite time of the day is when her boyfriend, the UPS guy, stops by or drives by her house. (She has always wondered why he drops presents off for her parents and not her.) The UPS guy definitely holds a special place in her heart but Kai's so full of love she offers her heart to anyone willing to receive it!
